Alpine Info

The Alpine Division of the MCSA is composed of teams from the Midwest.

Breakdown of Regional fees:

	Team Dues - First 20 racers X $60 ($25 is Regional fees & $35 is Liability Insurance) All other racers X $50 (Liability Insurance $25 per person) due by the 22nd of November!
	Per Race Entry Fees - $5.00 per racer per day ($10 for the 2 day races) To cover individual race costs, hill fees, etc.
	Helmets MANDATORY for SL AND GS!!!

Signing up your team:
Your "A" team consists of no more than 5 racers. You may enter more than one team in some events - a "B" team for example - but only the scores of your "A" team or varsity team will count for the team score. Results are calculated by totaling the top three times of your "A" team competitors. A team may consist of as few as three (3) team members but such a team is naturally handicapped since it can not afford to lose a racer through default, injury or any other means. Individuals may compete if their school does not have a team in the USCSA or any other ski program. Please contact the Regional Coordinator for more information. Refer to USCSA and
FIS Rules manuals for detailed rules and regulations concerning the slalom and giant slalom events.

Race Penalty Fees: We encourage teams to bring extra racers to races that have not been registered 48 hours in advance. These racers will be added to the end of the race format, not added into it or causing it to change in any way. However, a racer (or team) that does not show to a race after calling in will be charged the race entry fee and will be unable to participate in any races until it has been paid. Substitutions in the run order can only be made if a racer not present due to extreme illness of family emergency. It is at the discretion of the officers of the MCSA to require proof of such an incident.
